Are you ready to “Race The Dragon” in the UK's FIRST ever
3-day Dragon Boat Festival?
The 2017 Bradford Dragon Boat Festival will be a weekend of fun and competition organised by the community, for the community.
What does it cost?
A team entry costs from just £500.00 (£100 deposit today secures a boat)
We recommend a team of up to 20 (that’s £25 each)
What does that cover?
- All safety briefings and equipment
- A minimum of 3 Races
- Boats helmed by experienced Race The Dragon instructors
- Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Places
- Challenge Races – we can organise 'Head-to-Head' challenge races against other teams. Challenge Race teams will be seeded so they do not meet in the earlier rounds and then placed together in the 3rd race for their own inter-company (or inter-department) race off.
ARE YOU UP FOR IT?
Just challenge your other team to take a boat also, let us know you want us to organise a 'Challenge Race' and then on the day ... let the fun begin!
- Lots happening land side, children’s activities to a selection of trade stands.
- FREE Entry for spectators and guests – bring the family and make a day of it….
Who can enter?
Companies – an ideal team building activity and local PR experience for your company
Sports Teams, Social teams and other Groups – Why not use the event to raise funds for the Lord Mayors Appeal Charity – Young Minds
We suggest you encourage team members to raise a minimum of £50 each for their place. If they raise £100 each less the entry fee, that will leave you with a £1,200 raised for YoungMinds and no event organising or financial outlay on your part to achieve that! (Even more if you find a sponsor for your team entry cost).
Friends and Family – Well, you get the idea…. Just for fun or again raise some money for a good cause.
Anyone over 16 yrs old to make up a minimum of 10 paddlers plus one person to bang that drum. A Maximum team number is 20 people. (3 people as reserves)
